Making no-bake treats is super easy and fun to do with your children. Of course, making them for your self is also good!

 

We have been experimenting a lot with these no-bake energy and treat balls.  Using healthy ingredients you have on hand can create a delicious treat that is really satisfying – no need to eat 10 of them! Just one is enough.

 

You can truly mix these up by using whatever you have on hand in your pantry.

 

And, they are the perfect snack to share with your kiddos- even better teach them to make them with you.

Let’s Get in the Kitchen

Time to make your own gluten-free pumpkin oat balls

 

No-Bake Gluten-free Pumpkin Oat Balls

Ingredients needed:

½ cup pumpkin puree

2T pure maple syrup

1 t. pure vanilla (optional)

1 cup certified gluten-free oats

¼ cup ground flax-seed (not whole seeds)

¼ cup unsweetened shredded coconut

1 ½ t. cinnamon

¼ t. nutmeg

1/4 t. ground ginger

Pinch or more of ground cloves

Pinch of sea salt

¼ cup dark chocolate chips

Optional additions: raisins, dried cranberries or cherries

 

No-Bake Gluten-free Pumpkin Oat Balls

Whisk the pumpkin and maple syrup in a medium bowl.

 

Add in all other ingredients, except the chocolate chips. Mix to combine, using a fork or wooden spoon.

 

Once everything comes together in a ball, stir in the chocolate chips until distributed. Add in other additions if desired.

 

Using a small spoon or scoop, scoop dough and roll into golf-sized balls. You can make them smaller for younger children.

 

Place in fridge to set in a covered container. These last about a week – if you have any left!
