Top 10 Reasons for Attending Gluten-Free Expos

Reasons to Attend A Gluten-Free Expo

Each year during Celiac Awareness Month the Greater Philly Expo Center held a yearly Gluten-Free Expo.

Our family had attended for many years (before COVID), and wouldn’t think of missing it.

I contemplated getting a booth of my own, yet, had so much fun visiting around and learning about the new products and foods. Sure didn’t want to miss out on that!

Yet, having my own booth would allow me to meet all the amazing people coming through  – so maybe I should rethink this step. (This may change this year- I’ll keep you posted!)

A Gluten-Free Expo is a MUST

for anyone living gluten-free

If you don’t live in the Philly area, Expos are held all over the country. Check your local area and you may find one near you.

Top Reasons you SHOULD attend

a Gluten-Free Expo:

#1 Sample new gluten-free foods

Many companies are there to share samples of their foods, especially if they have any new items. Often they have products you can buy right there.

You can also find out where they sell their products, especially if they are located near you – bonus!

Many new products have become staples in our household by attending.

#2 Find new gluten-free restaurants in your area

This is a great way to expand your GF outings! Imagine learning about a new gluten-free restaurant near you, or an existing one that offers safe gluten-free food. Big win!

#3 Learn about new bakeries in your area or online.

Again, many are there to offer samples and sell their products, yum!

#4 Explore household and personal care products that are gluten-free

Many beauty, personal care and household companies are there to share their line of gluten-free products. There’s a lot to learn, sample and buy if you choose.

It’s great to see, feel and smell the products, and talk to the representatives right here.

#5 Dive deeper into healthy living

Companies are there to help you live a healthier gluten-free lifestyle.

#6 Attend talks by top researchers or organizations

Typically there are talks or demonstrations throughout the event related to gluten-free living. This is another great opportunity to learn more about the gluten-free lifestyle.

#7 Be amazed to see how many people are living gluten-ree

This was a biggie for my children.  They were shocked at how many people were attending, all there because they’re living gluten-free! Last year I believe close to 3,000 people participated!

This is fabulous for all of us to see, as often we feel like the ONLY ONE around who has to eat gluten-free! Do you ever feel this way?

#8 Meet people who write books, run organizations, and are there to help make your gluten-free lifestyle much easier

It’s important to find resources to help improve our gluten-free life as we navigate our GF journey!

#9 Meet Travel Agents there to share safe GF travel destinations

Travel can be a scary thing for those of us living gluten-free. Imagine finding someone who knows the safe places to go, where to stay, and can show you the way. Amazing!

#10 Improve your Gluten-Free Life

Just by attending a Gluten-Free Expo or Event, you are working on expanding and improving your gluten-free lifestyle.

Attending a GF Expo is worth your time

All in all, a GF Expo is a fabulous event all about gluten-free living.  It’s a fun-filled day of food and learning.

Afterward, my family enjoys comparing what we each found – the foods to sample, the people we’ve met, and all the samples we’ve bought home.

The kids LOVE finding new GF foods and it’s always great to see them in your grocery store after learning about new items.
