Snack Attack: Beets

Looking for some great gluten-free snacks?  Veggies are a wonderful, healthy snack and beets are just the one to try!

Following our gluten-free lifestyle, and trying our best to have healthy picks to add into our diet, we are always on the lookout for more snacks to add into our day. With teenagers in the house (and yes, a mom who loves to snack!), we need a good array of snacks to choose from that offer health to our bodies. When you keep healthy snacks in the house, these are the ones your family will get used to choosing.  Of course, the opposite is true as we all know!

Following my last post on Beets, this is a great time to share the Beet Chips we encountered, and are quite enjoying!  If you are someone who doesn’t want to be bothered with dehydrating veggies on your own, then these are two items you must try.

Just Beets

We found Just Beets at Trader Joe’s over the summer.  I loved them from the start.  They are simply beets.  That is it.  Simply dehydrated and chock full of the nutrition your body needs.  Easy, delicious, take them on the go.  They are super satisfying with just a few.  No need to eat the whole bag at once. They taste great with hummus, olive dip or guacamole.  Of course, they are great on their own. I love that they are thinly sliced and easy to chew.

Rhythm Superfoods Beet Chips

Rhythm Superfoods Beet Chips were equally satisfying, full of nutrition and once again, simply beets.  I found these one day at our everyday grocery store in the natural foods section. No worries about all the added chemicals and preservatives in most snacks.  Truly the only difference I found is that this brand sliced the beets a bit thicker.  For me, I preferred the thinner sliced – but that would be up to you to decide for yourself.

Both are a delicious and nutritious addition to your family’s snack table!

While shopping, keep your eyes opened.

New items are appearing everyday to help us all on our health journey.

Check out your stores and try some Beet Chips today!

Please come back and let me know how you liked them!
