My Gluten-Free Life

Today I celebrate a milestone birthday and just had to share one of the cards I received from my lovely Aunt Audrey.  It cracked me up!

So, yes, everyone, even card makers, are jumping on the gluten-free bandwagon!

Overall, I have to say that since finding out that I needed to be gluten-free, it has changed so much about my life. Yes, it was a hard road, and truth be told, can still be at certain times. We have come so far on this journey already! But I see myself and my family, all being so much healthier for this lifestyle.  I cannot imagine how I would be feeling if I kept up eating all the foods I thought were healthy for me, but were actually causing so much destruction to my body.  Or, if we continued to eat all the processed junk out there that too many people rely on for their fuel.  Please think about this.

Moving away from so many prepackaged, processed foods has made a world of difference.  Being mindful of what I buy, what I eat and what I prepare for my family has and continues to make a huge difference in our  lives.

Having food allergies really did put us on our road to healthy living!

Whether you are living with food allergies, or eating whatever you want without thinking – start to think about what you do eat.  Think about what you are eating and why you choose the foods you do.  Sure, they are so delicious!  We eat things because they are so tasty.  But, we also eat things just because they are there.  How many times do you eat what is leftover on your child’s plate?  Sometimes without even thinking, or not even realizing all the food you eat throughout the day.

Be on top of what you choose to eat.

As you reach the milestones of your life,

you will thank yourself for it!
