More Than 25 Gluten-Free School Lunch Ideas

School lunch is a BIG worry when you have kids living with Celiac Disease or gluten intolerance.

My children have always taken their own lunch to school each day.  For us, it is a safer and healthier option that works best for our family.  No worrying about cross-contamination, becoming sick in class, or eating something that has gluten.

Eating a healthier lunch also gives students more stamina and energy to get through the day and think more clearly.

Too much sugary junk can drain their energy and lessen their attention span in class.

Think about what kind of student you want your child to be.  Fill them with the right fuel, and they will have more energy to be productive throughout their school day.

Don’t love gluten-free bread for sandwiches?

We use our zucchini muffins as the bread for our sandwiches! Bake them in a whoopie pie pan for smaller versions of rolls – they are absolutely delicious!

For adults and parents: This helps at work too!

If you typically go out to lunch at work, you could save money by bringing your own lunch to the office.  Seriously – try it for a week and see what happens!  You will be amazed at how much you can save.

Of course, you’re keeping everything gluten-free safe and healthier by packing your own lunch.
