The 12 Days of Gluten Free Christmas: Day EIGHT

On the EIGHTH Gluten-Free Day of Christmas

my Health Coach gave to me . . .

new healthier gluten-free foods to try

. . . the gift of trying new things

When starting a new gluten-free lifestyle, be opened to new things.  You’ll find foods and products you’ve never even heard of before.  Try new things and expand your taste!

Even being an avid baker, I had NO idea that there were so many different, more nutritious flours.  Truth be told, they are much better than the original white/wheat flour that we all have used forever (and many are healthier!). You can really get creative.

new gluten-free snack Frontier Bites

Be adventurous!  Try veggies you’ve never heard of before like broccoli rabe or Bok choy. When you find a new, gluten-free product, and it is a safe choice for you, try it out.

While we were traveling, we came across Frontier Bites.  They are little crunchy bites of macadamia nuts, coconut, and pineapple.  A fun little snack. Something to buy again!

A great way to try new products is by attending a Gluten-Free Festival.  Check your local area as there are many all around the country.  They are great for learning about companies, and products, and trying many samples of gluten-free, or allergen-safe foods.

There are also many non-food items represented, which are fun to explore.  My children love attending as they always find new safe products to taste and add to our food supply.

When we attended the Gluten-Free Festival in CT, we learned about the Gluten-Free Family Camping Weekend in NJ.  The Camping Weekend was a great time for the whole family! So fun and all gluten-free!  If you would like an adventure for your family, with ALL gluten-free foods, check it out!
